Our Community
Images of our location.
In 1901 a group of parishioners from St Philips Church of England Auburn decided to purchase land in Provincial Street Auburn to extend ministry to the community of Auburn by planting a new church. This was accomplished and the old Auburn Dance Hall in Park Road Auburn was purchased and transported by bullock cart to the current location of the modern church building and was officially opened in July 1902.
The current church building was completed in 1967 and the old church relocated to the back left side of the property and was used by the Sunday school and other groups to augment the flourishing work of the parish.
St Thomas church has been operating in Auburn now for more than 120 years faithfully witnessing to the local community.
